Ceramic Infrared Heaters
We design a wide range of ceramic infrared heaters, available in both flat and curved configurations, with or without an integrated thermocouple.
Additionally, we offer various lengths and widths, tailored to meet your specific requirements.
Our heaters are custom manufactured to your exact specifications, ensuring optimal performance for your unique application needs.
Ceramic Infrared Heaters Operation
Elmatic’s range of infrared heater emitters utilizes a resistive element through which an electric current passes, generating heat that is transferred across the entire body of the heater. This efficient heating method ensures uniform thermal distribution, making our infrared heaters ideal for a broad range of applications, including industrial, commercial, and specialized processes.
Life
Under normal operating conditions, Elmatic’s infrared heaters provide an impressive operational lifespan of 10,000 hours at 80% of their maximum rated power. This extended lifespan significantly exceeds that of many competitors, ensuring long-lasting performance, reduced downtime, and a higher return on investment for our clients.
Uniformity
Since our infrared ceramic heaters are in direct contact with the refractory matrix, the surface temperature of the emitter achieves a high degree of uniformity. This ensures an even distribution of heat across the entire surface area, providing consistent and efficient thermal emission for a wide variety of applications.
At Elmatic, we are dedicated to providing bespoke heating solutions that deliver superior performance, reliability, and durability, tailored to meet the unique needs of each of our clients.

Heated Hoses
At Elmatic, we specialize in the design and manufacture of a wide range of heated hoses, engineered to maintain precise temperature control during the transfer of adhesives, oils, chocolate, gases, emulsions, as well as products in the food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries.
Heated Hoses Design and Construction
Our heated hoses are constructed with a smooth PTFE inner tube, reinforced with a stainless steel braid for durability and pressure resistance. They are insulated with high-temperature silicone foam (rated to 200°C) and incorporate temperature control systems using either PT100 sensors or J/K type thermocouples, precisely centered within the hose assembly.
Elmatic’s technology allows for the heating of virtually any type of flexible hose—whether a single line or a bundled configuration. We also offer the capability to retrofit customer-supplied hoses or recommend suitable alternatives tailored to specific applications.
The labelled diagram above illustrates a typical configuration of heated hoses we produce. However, we take pride in offering bespoke solutions, carefully designed to meet the individual requirements of each client.
Rather than defining a single standard design, we provide a versatile range of construction options, enabling customization based on application needs.
Please note that the diagram represents our current fabrication capabilities. As a forward-thinking and innovative company, Elmatic continually explores advancements in materials and manufacturing techniques. As such, we reserve the right to modify specifications in line with ongoing development and technological progress.
Temperature Control Requirements
To ensure safe and effective operation, all heated hoses must be used in conjunction with a suitable temperature controller. Elmatic can specify and supply appropriate controllers for all types of applications, either as part of a complete heated hose assembly or as standalone units.
At Elmatic, we are dedicated to providing bespoke heating solutions that deliver superior performance, reliability, and durability, tailored to meet the unique needs of each of our clients.

Insulation Jackets
Elmatic’s industrial insulation jackets are specifically designed for the rigours of the moulding shop environment. Insulated barrels save power and money which offers a faster start up and provide a safer workplace. Insulation jacket modules are manufactured using a multi-layer construction comprising of outer layers and selected fabrics enclosing an inner insulation blanket.
Our experienced fitting team takes on-site measurements to ensure a perfect fit and achieve the maximum advantages from the properties of insulation jackets. We use only the highest quality materials and offer our no quibble guarantee against faulty workmanship. You can specify Elmatic modular insulation with confidence in the knowledge which is being used by some of the largest companies in the UK.
Materials
The hot face layer consists of a special high temperature resistant fabric which stays flexible after exposure to extended temperatures. The outer layer of the PTFE or silver grey silicone coated glass fabrics offer both an aesthetically pleasing and durable finished surface.
The insulation layer is Superwool 607 TM, a low bio persistent fibre without the health risks associated with refractory fibres and capable of temperatures of up to 1050C.
Benefits:
- Reduced power costs (efficiency of insulation allows up to 20% de-rating of heater bands). Faster start-up
- Prevents burns to personnel by drastically reducing the temperatures of exposed surfaces
- Early payback of capital invested (normally below 1 year)
- Reduction in ambient temperature of the workplace crucial in the warm summer months.
- Tailored fit to individual machines allows for easy removal for maintenance. (Individual jackets are clearly marked with machine No. and position No.)
- Wipe clean non-stick surface prevents the plastic spill from damaging jackets.
All of our insulation industrial jackets include cut outs of thermocouples and terminal boxes, which are kept in our central database and can be replaced quickly in the case of accidental damage.
If you have any questions or concerns about our industrial insulation jackets, call us on (029) 2077 8727 and one of our knowledgeable team members will be more than happy to help you. Needless to say, that Elmatic is the leading manufacturers of quality electric and industrial heating elements.

Silicone Rubber Heaters
We manufacturer a quality selection of silicone rubber heater mats for precise heat distribution and applications. They are recommended for heating lower / medium temperature Drums, Cylinders, flat plates, Water Basins, Food Process Machinery and much more.
- Operating Temperatures up to 200ºC
- Precise even distribution of heat
- Available with self adhesive backing
- Thermostatic Control available
Design
All rubber silicone heater mats are manufactured to conform the EEC Low Voltage and EMC Directives and are CE marked accordingly.
We provide silicone heater rubber mats because of its high temperature tolerance and superb electrical insulation. They are produced by laminating the evenly spaced resistance wires between two sheets of silicone rubber, reinforced with a glass textile to give improved mechanical strength.
These surface heaters are suitable for applications where precise heating is required. Fine resistance wires accurately and precisely positioned over areas of almost any shape or size. The close even spacing of the wires ensure a uniform heat distribution over the entire working area. The maximum continuous operating temperature for our rubber silicone heater mats is 200°C and allows a generous safety margin for short term over-temperature excursions as high as 230°C. Being thin and lightweight, the silicone heater mat has a low thermal mass and, therefore, has the rapid heat up characteristics and a fast response to temperature control.
Our silicone heater rubber mats can be manufactured in almost any size and shape to suit the application, even including holes and cut outs without disturbing the distribution of heat. Also, it is available in a range of in-built temperature limiters and sensors to suit customer’s instrumentation.
Our surface heaters can be supplied with an acrylic self-adhesive backing to allow for easy positioning and assembling. These silicone heater mats can also be manufactured with eyelets, straps, hooks or Velcro. As for heaters which are not for static applications, we can supply a more rugged silicone material to allow for repeated handling which will give a longer life.
Consists of smooth PTFE tube sheathed with stainless steel, insulated by silicon foam (200°C) union with stainless steel free nut ( BSP with cone 60°), temperature control by PT100 or thermocouple type J or K centered on the heating hose.
Elmatic Heated Hoses will heat electrically any type of flexible hose, either single hoses or multiple hoses bunched together. We can also heat hoses supplied by customers, or advise on suitable alternatives.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our silicone rubber heater mats, email sales@elmatic.co.uk and we will respond to your message as soon as possible. As Elmatic is the leading manufacturers of industrial and electric heating elements in the UK.
