Strip Heaters

We manufacture an outstanding selection of incoloy, mica, ceramic & finned strip heaters for maximum heat transfer.

Each strip heater has its own individual maximum temperature it can conduct:

  • Mica Strip Heaters: ( 300ºC )
  • Ceramic Strip Heaters: (450ºC )
  • Finned Ceramic Strips: ( 450ºC )
  • Incoloy 800 Strip Heaters: ( 750ºC )

Applications

Our incoloy, mica, finned & ceramic strip heaters are used for heat transfer by conduction or convection to heat liquids, gases and metal / steel surfaces. They are typically used for presses, extrusion die heads, food tables, hot plates, and special purpose machinery.

Design Options

Our mica strip heaters are an economical designed heaters suitable for temperatures up to 300 degrees C. The mica strip heaters contains mica sheets with a nickel chrome resistance tape and a fabricated outer casing. It relies on a good surface to allow optimum heat transfer, available with or without location slots. Threaded terminals or glass fibre leads are an option. These mica strip heaters can be made to specific wattages & voltages your request.

Ceramic Strip Heater | Elmatic Ceramic Strip Heaters
Our ceramic strip heaters are designed to withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees C. The ceramic strip heaters consists of a stainless steel sheath containing a high-temperature ceramic insulation and a nickel chrome wire coil.Magnesium Oxide is used to fill any air pockets, thus providing the best heat transfer possible. The terminals are constructed of stainless steel and the ceramic strips are available with or without location slots.

Precision Wound Resistance Wire

Nickel Chromium coiled resistor (computer designed). Precisely wound to provide exact heat requirement. Each individual spiral being thoroughly chemically washed to eliminate contamination and give a longer element life.

Welded Connection

The connection between terminal pin and resistor is securely made by electronic welding or crimping.

Electrical Insulation

The resistor coil is centrally located during manufacture and insulated with high purity Magnesium oxide powder. When compacted by rolling or swaging, the magnesium oxide powder provides excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric strength.

Sheath Material

A selection of sheath material is available depending on individual customer’s requirements and applications. (Please see chart for options). All heaters are fully annealed to allow forming.

Sealing

All heaters are sealed during manufacture to protect against moisture absorption during storage. This will not however serve to protect against liquid infiltration and chemical attack. Various sealants are available for special conditions. Please consult factory for further assistance if you require any special needs.

Insulation and Threaded Terminals

Ceramic insulators ensure the electrical insulation of the terminal stud from the sheath. The standard threaded stud provides a quick and easy termination. However, a large selection of termination options is available.

Tubular Heaters

Here at Elmatic, we take pride in our heating elements and we believe that our tubular rod heaters are perfect to suit your application. If there are any requirements with your purchase, feel free to contact us via email or telephone. Needless to say, that Elmatic LTD are the best manufacturers of electric heating elements.

9.5mm SQ Section Tubular Heater

Applications

We provide a diverse range of 9.5mm square section tubular electric heaters for the following applications: Heating of Mould & Tool Dies, Manifolds, Plastic Process Machinery, Packaging and Packaging Machinery and much more.

These square section 9.5mm tubular electric heaters were launched in April 2013, they have been developed to out-grow the demands for a sealed heater. Also, they are able to operate at increasing temperatures required by modern machines. Its square section tubular construction combines with a flexible design and durable in operation. This gives it many advantages over the standard mica and ceramic heaters. The square section tubular electric heater advantage over the conventional round tubular element is that there is more surface contact which gives you a better heat transfer. The construction enables Elmatic to offer a high watts density, making it capable of operating at temperatures up to 750°C.

Our new 9.5mm square section electric tubular heaters offers the advantages of a higher watts density giving the option of more wattage and the flexibility of having a single ended or double ended termination.
